Cannabis for medical use

Nivaria Tech, located in Tenerife, Canary Islands, specializes in obtaining cannabis APIs for pharmaceutical use, with a particular focus on flowers meeting EU GMP standards.

Thanks to the geographical position of the Canary Islands, we cultivate cannabis with natural light throughout the year, benefiting from a stable photoperiod and optimal temperatures. The high solar radiation, especially UV rays, imparts unique characteristics to our plants, reflected in elevated levels of phytocannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids.

Discover the benefits of the synergy between nature and innovation. Our cannabis cultivation project leverages the consistent sunlight and ideal temperatures of the Canary Islands to produce top-quality cannabis for medical and pharmaceutical purposes. Our dedication to quality and the use of cutting-edge technology ensure exceptional products.

FACTS

HISTORICAL BACKGROUND

Although the use of cannabis for its medicinal properties dates back to 2737 BC in China to treat disorders such as gout, malaria and rheumatism, it wasn’t until the XIX and XX centuries that it became a focus of interest with its introduction into Western medicine.

MEDICAL APPLICATIONS

The use of Cannabis is effective for different medical disorders and treatments, such as: chronic pain and pain related to multiple sclerosis; certain forms of epilepsy, such as Dravet and Lennox-Gastaut syndromes; nausea and vomiting associated with chemotherapy or others such as sleep disorders or anxiety.

SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH AND DISCOVERIES

An investigation has identified the Endocannabinoid System (ECS) as crucial in the regulation of pain, mood, appetite and memory. In addition, other cannabinoids such as CBG (cannabigerol) and CBN (cannabinol) are being studied for their unique therapeutic properties. Aromatic compounds in cannabis, such as myrcene and limonene, also contribute to its effects, potentially offering additional therapeutic benefits.

PATIENT EXPERIENCES

Studies indicate that 85% of patients with chronic pain have experienced significant pain relief and those with severe epilepsy have reduced seizure frequency by up to 50% with Cannabis-derived medications. In addition, many patients report an improved quality life and mood, better sleep and less anxiety.
